Neelamperoor Patayani is a vibrant temple festival celebrated at Neelamperoor Pally Bhagavathi Temple at Neelamperoor, in Alappuzha district, Kerala. Kettukazcha- the display of beautifully decorated effigies are the main attraction of this colourful festival. During the festival day, the colorful procession carries the statues of mythological characters like Bhima, swans, yakshi and elephant. The parade known as Padayani  symbolizes the victory of Goddess Kali over Darika. Thothakali , a traditional dance performs with drum beats and the rhythm of the folk songs is one main attractions of  Padynai.
