Sree Subrahmanya Swamy Temple at Harippad, Alappuzha and Koorkancherry Sree Maheswara Temple are the two important temples known for Thaipooyam Maholsavam. Performance of colourful ritualistic dance” Kavadiyattom” is an integral part of this festival.
