ANANTHAPURA LAKE TEMPLE
it is the only lake temple in Kerala, situated about 5 km. from Kumbala. Also the temple is the Moolasthanam (original seat) of  Sri Padmanbha Swami Temple, Thiruvananthapuram.

MALIK DINAR MOSQUE

MALIK DINAR MOSQUE, located at Thalangara, is one of the mosques believed to have been founded by Malik Ibn Dinar. The place is sacred to Muslims and contains the grave of Malik Ibn Mohammed, one of the descendants of Malik Ibn Dinar.

BEKAL FORT

The famous fort in the State which offers alluring beauty of sea shore and nature’s beauty.

BELLIKOTH

Renowned as the birth place of Poet P.Kunhiraman Nair, veteran freedom fighter and playright Vidwan P.Kelu Nair and Rasika siromani Kanan Nair, the place is situated in Anjoor village.

BELA CHURCH

Our Lady of Sorrows Church,a Gothic style Roman Catholic church  is the oldest church in the district, constructed in 1890 AD and situated about 15 KM north of Kasargod.



CHANDRAGIRI FORT

Chandragiri fort lies about  three kms. south of Kasargod town and is said to have been built in the 17th century by Sivappa Nayak of Bednore, who established his authority over the area and built a chain of forts.

EDNEER MUTT

Situated about  10 Km. north east of Kasargod, theMutt belongs to the Sankaracharya tradition, presently renowned as a seat of art and learning.

 

GOVINDA PAI MEMORIAL

The native place of M.Govinda Pai (1883-1963), one of the renowned Kannada poets of modern time. The institution is situated in Manjeswar.

HOSDURG FORT

Somashekara Nayak of Ikkeri dynasty built the fort and the place made well known by the Nithyanandasram with 45 caves.

KOTTANCHERI HILLS

The rain forest near Konnakkad 30 KM north- east of Kanhangad is a beautiful picnic  spot and ideal for trekking. Thalakkaveri in the Brahmagiri mountain is situated near the hills.



Madhur Temple

MADHUR 8 KMs north east of Kasargod is famous Srimad Anantheswara Vinayaka temple. The rich architecture, imposing structure of the temple are the major attraction.

MALLIKARJUNA TEMPLE

The temple is situated in the heart of the Kasargod town and is famous for the temple festival and yakshagana .

RANIPURAM HILL STATION

RANIPURAM, also known as Madathumala is a heaven of naturs’s beauty and an ideal place for trekking is situated about 48 KMs east of Kanhangad and lays 780 meters above sea level.
