Moatsu Festival
Date: First week of May each year.
Place: Mokokchung district villages , Chuchuyimlang village, Nagaland.

Moatsu Festival  is an important festival celebrated by the Ao tribes of Nagaland associated with the harvest by singing, dancing, and merry making. The best part of the festival is Sangpangtu. Men and women dress up with their new cloths,  sit around the fire and celebrate with meat and wine.

 




The Yoga Shala Expo
Date: May 4-6, 2018.
Place : Pragati Maidan, Delhi

India’s first international yoga, Ayurveda and wellness expo participated by expert doctors in Ayurveda, Yoga and other natural systems, also showcases an extravaganza  of natural products including organic food and clothing, and herbal cosmetics. Workshops, sessions, interactive activities, and astrology consultations.

 

Dhungri Mela
Date: May 14-16 every year.
Plce: Hadimba Temple, Manali, Himachal Pradesh.

Dhungri Mela is a three-day Mela celebrated in honor of Goddess Hadimba’s birthday, wife of Bhima, in Manali.  Hadimba temple is one of the most important temple in Manali, and an important tourist attraction. In the festive time fairground is set up with stalls and celebration involves singing , dancing, performances of the Kullu Natti folk dance etc.

 




Ramadan
Date: May 15-June 14, 2018.

The holy fasting month of Muslims, Ramadan begins on 15th may and ends in 14th June. Ramadan concludes with the happy  festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, with  grand feasts and shopping.

 

Ganga Dussehra.
When: May 24, 2018.
Where: Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Haridwar and Rishikesh.

 

A large number of devotees around the world gather, bathe, offering Arathi and worship Ganga matha to mark the time that the holy Ganges River descended to earth.

 

Saga Dawa
Date: May 29, 2018.
Place: Saga Dawa at Rumtek Monastery, Sikkim and other monasteries throughout Darjeeling.

Saga Dawa is the holiest month for Tibetan Buddhists and the fourth month of Tibetan lunar calendar, usually falls on the full moon day of the month.

 

Ooty Summer Festival
Date: Not announced
Place: Botanical garden, Ooty, tamilnadu.

Ooty Summer festival showcases a beautiful show of flowers, wide verities of rare species of plants, take place in the famous hill station at Ooty in Tamilnadu. There will also be cultural celebration in the evening time
