Chakkulathukavu Pongala is an important temple festival takes place at Chakkulathukavu Bhagavathy Temple near Thiruvalla in Kerala. The number of women take part in this festival increase year after year. Chakulathukavu Pongala 2019 will be celebrated on 10th December and Nari Pooja will be on 20th December. On the Ponkala day, women cook rice and jaggery in earthen pots and offer it to the goddess.
