Jatayu Earths Center tourism project or Jatayupara is an innovative tourism project spreads over 65 acres of multi terrain landscape near Chadayamangalam in Kollam district in Kerala.  The concept and execution of this unique project is done by renowned film director, art director and sculptor Mr Rajiv Anchal.  This is the first BOT tourism project in Kerala in association with Department of Tourism, Kerala.The giant concrete statue of Jatayu is 200 feet long, 150 feet wide and 70 feet height and is the largest functional bird sculpture in the world. Spread across 65 acres, Jatayupara is a wonderful example of sustainable and eco-friendly tourism in India. This giant rock is situated 1000 feet above from the sea level.

An audio- visual museum is  functioning inside the sculpture and spans over five levels. Also a multi-dimensional mini theatre is also functioning inside the wing of Jatayu sculpture. A Rama temple is another attraction of Jatayupara. There is a pond near the rock and is believed  that the pond formed by the stroke of Jatayu’s beak. The most innovative cable car facility has been provided to reach the hill top. These passenger cable cars,  imported from Switzerland with state-of-the-art amenities with a total passenger capacity of 400 people per hour provides breathtaking views of the area and its beautiful surroundings. Jatayu Nature park is also an important attraction.

Jatayu is  characterized as a noble bird of divine origin in the great epic Ramayana.  The word “Para” means Rock in the local language , Malayalam. The destination is easily accessible from important places. it is situated  just  500 meters away from the Main Central  road (MC Road), 36 km from Kollam town and approximately 50 km from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala . The nearest international airport is Thiruvananthapuram.
