The feast of st.sebastian or Athirampuzha perunal will begin on 19th January  and ends at 26th January. The record says that, the feast was started at Athirampuzha church from the year 1647. The flag hostng ceremony marks the beginning of the festival. It is believed that the statue of St.Sebastian installed here was brought from Portugal. The statue of St.Sebastian in Athirampuzha is unique as it is the only statue of the saint without arrowation people from all over south India gather here during the festival days.

The grand procession with flags, gold-brass-silver wooden crosses, allavattom, venchamaram, Thazahakkuda, theevetti, allavattom, venchamaram  and ornate umbrellas is the main attraction of this festival. There will be dazzling fireworks too.
